I found her fun, strong and just an all-round awesome character to read about. It was very easy to slip into her head and go through her motions and understand why she loved the people she did in her life. Everyone around her is supportive and trust worthy, but not just because she is a princess but because she has genuine friends that love and care her so it was nice to see she had that support system even when her parents are held captivate.

The story itself was intense, action packed and dangerous.

Madly & the Jackal

Can she protect her friend, and her heart? At only about pages, this was a short book. So I'll do this review as a list. What I liked: --The mix of fairy tale creatures and mermaid myth. The basis for the world is very original and mixes together in a cool way. She is a princess, and she acts like one.

Madly isn't afraid to speak her mind and give orders when they need to be given. This book had a great balance of aspects I loved. What I didn't like: --World building. I didn't get a great picture in my mind of Slumber or Atlas. The way the relationship went back and forth was maddening LOL, pun. It's also something I've seen in a lot of books.

Even the reader knows! I kind of felt like the ending went too fast. To be honest I didn't completely understand what went on and the events seemed to contradict earlier parts of the story. This book was kind of back and forth for me, but I will read the next one in the series.

Jackson is one leading man I would like to get my hands all over I don't think there was a character in the book that I didn't like. I am so looking forward to the next book Will be interesting to see how Aidan's new "role" plays into the new book Obviously totally rooting for Jackson and Madly and hope there isn't too much turmoil with their relationship in the next book, but what would a good book be without some good 'ol fashioned turmoil?

Honestly, when I first saw this I wasn't too sure if mermaids sounded very exciting or not. But this is such a great author that she has had me daydreaming about a fish-man!
